And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her joy,
the joy of hope,
given to mankind.
And Mary wept,
for the lord had shown her sadness,
the sadness of families,
torn apart by intolerance.
And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her kindness,
the kindness of a selfless man,
helping for nothing in return.
And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her cruelty,
the cruelty of a cleric,
preaching one path to heaven.
And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her goodness,
the goodness of unconditional love,
given to anyone without reservation.
And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her evil,
the evil of a murderer,
playing the role of righteousness.
And Mary wept,
for the Lord had shown her,
the acts done,
in the name of her son.
