Pieces of the past
Finally put together today
As they conclude to understand
Plead as the vapid fear
And never look into the eyes
To nervous to tell a lie
To ugly to tell a truth
So they look away
Cornered sunshine
On a spotless day
As they gather round
Spitting out fright
From long distance life
Too long to hold high, and
Too short to accommodate
It goes fast, and they know that
Those tears don’t fall from pain
It’s number two on the speed dial
And all they can reach is one
For their life’s too short
And dreams too big
Too vast, too quick
No matter how tall you are
You’re always too small,
And they know that
Unfound glory
In the back of the mind
Hidden by folded memories
And elapsed with care
So they unlace the undermined,
Set free the miscreant type,
Bestow the wretched a smile,
And set free the caged bird
Living inside their neighbors
Trying to hard not to be unseen
But it’s too late
They’re already forgotten
And they know that
Precious diamonds
Never the less are evil too
But it’s more of a sin
To be human
To be a good human
Their fearless, you know
And we all hate it
Just the same
Beginners in society
Outraged and fraudulent
Enough so their scared by it
Their impartial when they look away
And no one cares to tell
To see what their eyes see
And they know that
The comely are too...
Pretty to distinguish
How much they kill the inside
The place where love grows
And peace--
Be with you,
My friend
For sure they're underlings
Of this universe
Unknowing to yourself, though
They make the biggest difference
And they know that
