I know the truth is hard,
It’s not what you want to hear
But you need to get over him
Or your teary eyes will never clear

You think we don’t understand
And never loved anyone like this
But I’ve been there in your shoes,
I’ve lost, I’ve loved, I’ve missed

You hate how we all hate him
Our feelings towards him aren’t the same
But it’s sickening always watching
You play loser in his game

Do you really think he treats you right?
Because if you do, you sure are missing out
On meeting someone new,
Who actually wants to take you out

Why waist your time making up excuses,
For a guy that messes with your mind
You should be excited for the future
Where there’s so much more to find

You won’t let things finally better,
And you cant, until you let him go
If you don’t have the power yet
Sadly, there’s still too much that you don’t know

You afflict pain upon yourself
By running to him each night
Making matters worse,
Because for the second it feels so right

Do you really think he loves you?
Just because a way he stares?
He broke your heart so many times,
After all his lies, you still think that he cares?

You believe that you know everything
And these feelings will last forever
Like this love is somehow different,
And you’re meant to be together

Maybe you are wrong,
Who knows, you could be right
But for now except his feelings,
Without putting up a fight

Be strong and play it tough
And you may be surprised to see
How much better life is
When you’re living emotion free
