They say that I should dump you,
You’re not worth another try,
And that I’ll make the mistake,
Of falling for another lie
They say that I’ll get hurt,
And that I’m so naive,
But maybe you can change,
And I think I should believe
They say that I can’t trust you,
And that again, my heart will break
But being with you feels so right,
And it’s the chance I’m gonna take
I know that you have hurt me,
I know that you have lied,
But I’d hate to see what could have been
If I decided not to try
I know that it’s a risk,
And my trust is far away,
But in the future this would help us,
To keep the lies away
I’m not a stupid person,
And the decisions up to me,
So let me take this chance,
And one day I guess we’ll see
