Dark into Light
if I cant be my own
then whose will i be
if the dark leads us to light
then do the blind see light constantly?
too often we mistake ourselves in the sun
almost as if the light leads us along
wraps itself around us never to realize whats to come
a constant camoflauge of yellow and glare
shows us brightness in our times of despair
but when we have problems
wouldnt you rather sleep
eyes closed in the dark
never letting light in
entombed perfectly awaiting to wake and restart
darkness should be embraced
dont let the light fool you
it also reveals mistakes
and when were lead along in the light to beleive
that eventually we will see
tell that to the blind
get their hopes up to one day they'll be
embraced by a light
thats a lie
leave them alone in the dark
where they see in darkness perfectly
