You make me feel safe,
you make me feel loved,
but still I can't remember
the last time we hugged.

I want to say love you forever
just like we used to every night.
You rescued me from those dreams
that made me cry with fright.

Even when I'm difficult
you're there everyday.
Don't forget I still love you
no matter what I say.

Sometimes I don't tell you things
in case you don't understand
and it scares me to death
that you might not like who I am.

I want to make you proud;
I love seeing you smile.
That's why you must never
see some of my laptop files!

You keep your head up,
you always stay strong,
which really helps me
to get up and carry on.

I should tell you I love you
before it's too late.
My voice when I scream
has a hint of hate.

When things get to much
I've taken it out on you
and still you try to help
to pull me through.

Thank you for being there
and reminding me how much you care.
