I remember eating some delicious lollipop when I was little kid. My grandfather kept always a little basket at the middle of the kitchen table with many candies on it. One of the amazing things of going to my grandparent´s house was to play soccer with my grandfather and after that, relax at the kitchen with a glass of water and this delicious lollipop of chili powder covered with caramel. This was my grandfather´s favorite candy, they were always many candies at his house, but this lollipop was never missed, there was always at least one of this. My grandfather was the owner of a candy store, which is why there were many candies at his house. At different times of the year we; Christmas, Birthdays, New Years Eve, children day, even at vacations, my cousins and I received from him a bag with candies. It was kind of funny how he always try to fix everything with a candy, when one of his grandchildren was mad, sad, crying, when someone had an accident, he just give a candy and smile hoping that his grandchildren will forgot what happened and be happy. But you have to be careful when he was mad, if he was for some reason in a bad mood or mad, he will get even angrier if someone took a candy from the basket of the kitchen. Now that I am thinking about situations that happened around the candies of my grandfather I realized that I saw him really few times eating a candy, maybe just after we finish playing soccer, but without taking into account that kind of situation I do not remember any other time when I saw my grandfather eating a candy, maybe I was too young and I have already forgot some memories of my childhood, but it is kind of funny and interesting that I do not find a memory of my grandfather eating a candy other than the time after playing. The candies were something special for him, they were his job, his way to get money, his way to solve things with his grandchildren, the way to make the little kids smile, but it was never something that he enjoyed. Giving a candy to a kid, to his grandchildren was a way for him to give happiness to other, the candies became his job, a part of him; he wanted to share something of him with his family.
