Flood Barrier



The flood barrier broke

The tears came down

Followed by the blood

Consuming my hand



It clotted and stained

My arm red raw

The tears i hate

The blood i adore



The feelings pent up

Since last year at least

When I lost the strength

And had to release



There was too much blood

I went too deep

But that was the plan

I just wanted to sleep



Stop the pain

Stop the hurt

Feeling light headed

But it never works



Now i have the soft feel of cloth

Protecting my skin

From the roughness

Of my top



Im useless i know

Im sure you agree

Cant do anything right

Thats the life of me
