My Plea

Folder:
Off The Dome

I'm ready Lord give me another try,

before I die, let me make my father proud.

I might not speak loud but I'm here.

With sheer sincerity I pray for this.

I can't dismiss the fact that I always fail.

This may seem like a tall tale  to the ones on the outside  looking in.

How can they see when I always grin?

I'm good at that, better yet I'm great.

But God please wait.

Stop time if you can.

I understand that I am not what you expect.

I know I neglect myself  in order to make others smile.

It's been like that for awhile.

Please give me a break.

Every morning I wake and I'm grateful.

Despite the hatefulness I feel in my heart sometimes, I'll take a moment  and rewind those feelings and invision better days.

I know you love me in many ways.

So God, can I count on you?

To pull me through again?

Is this where life begins?

I WIN!

With my Lord, my Savior, my friend.

Wow, I've felt this! I really, really felt this. Love to read poems where ppl are open and honest about falling short, but are still able to reach for help from the Most High. I loved it! My favorite part was...

"Despite the hatefulness I feel in my heart sometimes, I'll take a moment and rewind those feelings and invision better days."

Peace and Blessings
