To post online
We all try to hide who we really are
By “prettying” ourselves up for one stupid picture
Afraid of what people might think of the real you
And we all worry about what people think of us anyways
But I say, “I’m not superficial in real life…
Why try to be the opposite just to look good to people you don’t even really know
I take a picture of me in jeans, a tank top, and a pony tail
~The real me~
And say, “This is me…
You don’t like it, too bad
You can piss off and talk to someone
who is pretending to be a different person
Than who they really are.”
I don’t need someone who’s afraid to be themselves to critique me
So why don’t we all just stop worrying about what others think
And be ourselves
