You left me here

Sitting in the sand,

Drawing a circle

Singing lullabyes and hoping

You hear me.



I put my hands together,

Like two wings

Floating in the sweetness

Up to the strawberry sky;

Two graceful lashes

Winking at you

With dark shadows

And bright moonlight

Shining in,

Glowing

In the dark.



I pray.



I pray that you will see me

That your spirit

Will find me

At the end

Of the long,

Dark, dusty road

It is traveling on.



And I look up

Suddenly

To have the

Smoky violet clouds

Pull me in.



I see your eyes!

They are open to me.

I cry

Unconsiously,

The rain

Softly falls

Down my neck.



And when I dance

With you

Around the fire,

The circle

In the sand

Disapears.



I am free.
