Once upon a time.
A time long ago,
A time far from here,
A time unlike ours.
There lived a princess.
A princess with strong wills,
A princess with great beauty,
A princess of another land.
She was taken.
Taken by the evils,
Taken by her family,
Taken by fate.
Rescued by a prince.
A prince of greatness,
A prince with knowledge,
A prince so brave.
Lived happily ever after.
After she escaped,
After he rode out,
After their encounter.
Ancient windswept towers tall
Stonework strong, could never fall
Time tested and true, yet lived in not
Scarred ramparts, unspoken memories
Of battles fought
The enemies vanquished so long ago
Their faces they hardly dare to show
Despair and jealousy, they're burned by light
Shining in the tall tower so bright
And if you ever feel the need
A place to turn to, strength to feed
Your warm and tender and so soft heart
Water to wash the pain, to start
Again...
And in the inner courtyard grows
An ancient, pure and lonely rose
And if your heart should come and go
The frosts of winter might hurt you so
Warmth shall be yours, and always here
For one as lovely as you, my dear
