Do You Remember?
Do you remember how the laughter would carry on, on whims of soundless thoughts?
How we would chuckle on mere nothings, you made my nights and carried my days!
Friends are to remain close for always, for a bond made once is never to be broken.
God gave us a time where nothing else mattered but each other, he gave us each Love!
You came to me with no expectations, but unexpectedly changed my life to the happier!
Friends are lovers in ways no one else would understand, for they express with feelings.
No one touched me in ways that I was when you would speak to me, a unique union
I have not known Love a I have with you in my life, and now I have lost all I had.
I have lived many nights alone, with sorrow filling the emptiness of the soul I once had
I walk dead with thoughts of what life was and what it would be again with you
You see the times we spend together were life giving moments expressed truly with Love
You brought me joy and gave me hope of a brighter more fulfilled future.
Friends lost with no where to go, a deaded sound of sadness falls to ears deaf of feelings
Life taken away from the beginning of what was a destiny full of truth and harmony
Two souls meeting in a far off world become the best of a union created by God himself
Now we look upon a lost dessert of nothingness an empty feeling of what we were then.
I pray for a light to be shown to me, so I may find my way back to you to hold you close
What friends are and what we became was more of a destiny filled truth than anything
God blessed us everyday with comfort and joy for we had one another to fill the void
Do you remember how happy you were with what we had, do you not rejoice in it?
I know times are no longer the same, that we have something new in our future
I ask for you to forgive a fool, a man who walked into paths not meant to be traveled
I have taken from you the love you had and replaced it with doubt and uncaring
I pray you allow God in your life to replace what I took, be filled with his Love
Do you remember his joy, what he gave you and the fulfillment he blessed upon you?
The times you would praise him and be showered with his ever growing Love?
Do you remember the spirit that walked with you when you were alone and distraught?
Look to where the skies are no longer blue to see what you have not seen in ages of time.
God is standing next to you, extended is his hand and open his heart for you
He sees you everyday, looking and wanting but not taking what he has to offer you.
God has a gift to bestow to his child that he Loves and cherishes so dearly, accept it!
I pray you will be touched and that he will give you what it is you need to live on happier.
I remember all we shared, I recall all the times we had and how we shared our lives!
I remember the heart that you opened and gave hope to the Love God had to offer!
Thank you for being the one God used to bring forth a new man, a man to be his son.
If I never regain the beauty I once knew I may never be the same, but will be alive.
For God has given me life due to the child he used to bring me home to his kingdom.
Come to the Lord and become who it is he wants of you, join me in his glory.
Thank You for being my best friend when needed, now please be my best friend when I don’t!
For with God I can conquer all, but I need the best friend I miss so much to be complete!
