I awoke from deep nights alone with tears in eyes, I saw you within pools of endless need

Heart yearning to be loved and wanted, desires of a touch from hands so gentle

Growing emotions ever so bearing weight on my soul, defying my heart in every form

The need of who you are and what you bring to me, a lifeless body when you are not near



I have walked alone for so long and found nothing, I wish to see you and be near a friend

You gave me all in a day when time was short, made me feel loved and needed

Time has taken from us a seamless end of what we had, no longer a bond as strong

Caring for you reaches no end in my life, on my mind and in my heart you dwell always



I need who I am with you and what you are within, you make me whole and complete

A part of me is lost when I don’t have you; I need to be found once again

Take me to nights so long and beautiful of laughter and joy, remind me who we were

Your eyes full of life and tenderness, such beauty found within such simple lips



Make me joyous in times so bleak and unwanted, write stories of untold feelings

Walk to where we once stood and behold who we were, missing are those times

I walked out of your life to find my own, and the only finding was that of loneliness

Without you I am nothing, for my other half is what is needed to complete this man



Come back to me and bring with you happiness, you are the one who holds it

What I can tell you is that life is short and hated, but the love you gave to me envious

I will do what I can to deliver you a friend, and will hope you find it in yours to be there

For in my destiny you stand along side of me, for all I ever had is all I ever needed!  You!
