Why did you leave so abruptly

without even a good bye

leaving behind a broken heart

never to heal

 oft times you return in the

middle of the night

dreams become blurred

a string of emotions

days are long without you

yesterday has been taken over

by years

Yet your image remains 

before my eyes

How can I ever forget

the love of my life?
