Long ago, on day
three,
God sent an angel,
to see.
Role back, that stone
away,
Let my son, see the
light of day.
The heavens screamed,
this world shook.
Many tears filled a
brook.
Tears fell like fallen
rain,
Paying back, for all
the pain.
The tomb gave way, the
grave was bare.
The Son of God, walked
out of there.
Two women came, to the
tomb that day.
Looking to see, where
Jesus lay.
Two angels, appeared,
and said,
He is risen, he is not
dead.
The women ran home,
told everyone,
He is risen, God's
true son.
The disciples came, to
the tomb that day,
Saw the stone, had
rolled away.
Jesus was alive, and
well,
Once more on earth,
did dwell.
Mary returned only to
see,
Where is Jesus, where
can he be?
In a voice sweet, and
low, Jesus replied
To father in heaven, I
must go.
