Forgetting is

to.
The past keeps
returning
faces appear
images of ones
we hold so dear.
In the silence
of the night
memories won't
take flight.
Visions
haunting so
sincere
Inside

a tear.

one does not forget the past though they can shelve it from their surface persona. This does not mean something that hurt then doesn't still hurt or will ever really go away from hurting. Lost loves,yeah you move on but it still hurts to think about it etc. Really like this piece
