Trying to build life anew,
Impossible alone to do,
Must be done in complete accord,
To receive a rich reward.

Respect and faith must play a part,
Love comes from within a heart.
Two must share and atone,
Building a life can't be done alone.

Kindness helps clear the way,
Discussion can provide the day.
Nothing is impossible if two agree,
You can build a life, live happily.

But while we were away, something
happened. It was no longer a warm
spring day.

Long ago a heart was light,
A laughing child with delight.
Like a flower in the sun,
Life's treasure, she had won.

As leaves turned brown, began to
fall,
This child began to recall.
The change was gradual, this she
knew.          
She was wondering, what to do.
