the dark is even longer
the test of the dawn
shackled by the darkness
which now must hide within.
Forcing a smile
of worthless self-denial
Knowing that this day will end
only to repeat again
Repeat until the final breath
Knowing, seeing the last scene
should it come now
to face it all alone
on top of that haggered by life.
