The dirt and blood
All around
As the war raged on
No hope to be found
Snipers firing brutally
Bombers in the sky
I worried for my family
My sanity and my life
Smells of blood and dirt
Filled the stiff air
My mates and fellow trooper’s dead
Misery and despair
But I knew the world would still go on
even if I didn’t make it through
my song would fill their hearts
so hear my cries
from the battle field
dead bodies that all lie
around me and the noise
I don’t want the last thing I hear
Screams of agony
So hear me out
Please put me out of my misery
Stop the war
And future ones to come
Conflict and all evil
But that deed can’t be done
