I had a visit one night

it might seem strange to you

but I tell you this is the truth

at least as I know it to be so

I had a chance to spend sometime

listening to lyrics so deep

words blended together

to make you see

just where his heart and soul might be

he had one of those noses

glasses that were almost the same

he might not have played the way John would

he might not ever reach fortune or fame

but his words touched me some where deep

I took my breath to be in the presence

of one unafraid to show raw emotion

hauntingly reminiscent of times past

I slaute your ability to write

sending a message oh so mysterious

you held it together but than most

not letting simple things get you all flustered

I was impressed with your stage personailty

may you find yourself standing center stage

sharing your message of love and hope

you reminded me of a young John Lennon

one with no scares and no pain

you are blessed with a gift

to share with the world

may you have all that you ever wished for
