A SPIRITUAL WALK
HAVE YOU EVER WALKED ALONG A GARDEN PATH?
EVER WATCHED A BIRD DOING WHAT IT HAS TO SURVIVE?
DO YOU STOP AND WATCH A BUTTERFLY AS IT TAKES TO THE AIR?
THE LAST TIME I WAS AT MY GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE,
I HAD A CHANCE TO DO JUST THESE THINGS.
AS YOU WALK IN HER YARD, YOU COULD SEE ANYTHING.
A BIRD, CAT, BUTTERFLY, IF YOU ARE LUCKY,
YOU MIGHT EVEN SEE A DEER OR MAYBE EVEN A FAWN.
BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE ON WHAT I WOULD CALL
A SPIRITUAL WALK,
TO DO THIS, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR MIND IS CLEAR,
OPEN TO MESSAGES FROM LITTLE THINGS.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT FORM A MESSENGER MIGHT TAKE.
COULD BE ANYTHING, SO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN,
LOOK FOR THEM EVERYWHERE YOU GO.....

I agree. Any walk can become meaningful if we can just watch around us and breathe in the Beauty. I mean that literally. I do try to breathe it all. On my good days, that is. Somedays I just totally blow it. I'll drink a few beers or make a hurtful comment. But what I meant to say is that I know what you mean about keeping your eyes open. That's what it's all about, right? Thanks
