Tortuous

A leaf falls down

Falls to my feet,

Trembles with the wind.

Slowly my hands reach for it

And in the breeze I bend.

Slowly drifting

With the dust,

Floating,

Flying,

Into the clouds.

Sunshine pours

Down around me

Slowly the sky turns to red.

Pink and purple

Fills the sky

And fills my heart as well.

Then the sun sets

And so does my mind,

Thrown into an asylum,

Tortuous hell.

Screams echo,

And echous screams

Fill the air around me.

Grinning faces,

Smiling madmen

Populate every room and wall.

Into a cell I'm Quickly pushed,

Into the matress my bloody face falls.

Shackles at my hands and feet,

Brace upon my mind,

Every hall I seek and search,

My sanity to find.

A shock at my side

A knife hid inside

From the calloused hands which did place it.

Down on my knees,

I beg with disease

Of mental nature

for me to soon find.

For within these wall

Hell resides

Within these walls

Sanity Bides

Its time within these wall.

Brought to a room,

Smell impeding doom,

A spike lodged inot my brain.

Outside I lay,

Time passing away,

With nothing to do or to see.

From my tangled grasp,

My fingers unclasp

And the leaf falls down to the ground.

A small breeze picks up,

The dust now kicks up,

And the leaf is carried again.

I sit on my bench

A grin on my face,

No better than the wandering Hordes.

Happy now, am I

Within the asylum walls.

Caught up in this world

So tormentuous.
