Time and youth keeps slipping by
We know not the reason, nor the why
We wake up and it has gone away
As we sit and yearn for younger days
We think of things we wish we had done
And we remember in our youth all of the fun
We could not wait until we were adults
Time stood still; or so we thought
Now each day moves so fast
In addition, all we have is our past
Memories of a child without a care
Of a teen, whose only worry was her hair
However, would I trade what I have today?
For younger days that seem so far away
No not for all the money in the world
Right here with you makes me a happy girl
