I have seen thousands of sunsets that

Would take your breath away

Taken pictures of its beauty so with

Me they would stay



I have awaken to sunrises full of wonder and hues

Colors so bold and bright in pinks and blues

I have stared at the sky until the morning Light

Amazed by all the stars shinning in the night



Watched them streak across the sky for hours

I have kissed under the moon so full and so bright

Taken back by its beauty amazed by it’s wondrous light

I have swam in rivers running swift, wild and free



And dozed on its banks under a lonely willow tree

I have basked under the sun in a lush field of green

Feeling at peace with the silence that surrounded me

Seen it all, from ocean to shinning sea



Kissed by some who claimed to know the secret of my soul

Moreover, I smile at what they did not know

I have seen many things in this life it’s true

Nevertheless, never will I love again the way I loved you
