I will lay shredded cattail at the bank, the silk of it to silence,
The velvet brown to cushion all delighted cries that might escape
And water lily pads like giant plates
will glow green gold and hold a million seeds of passing plant
Air and water each breathing one another
and I will grow drowsy
while I watch you dance
for me.
