Bleeding wounds of lovers past

Had finally come to end at last



Feeling love and joy once more

And this time something new to explore



A kind person who opened my mind

To all the wrong things I needed to find



Like most good things it came to an end

But crushingly so my heart did not mend



He was the one I thought would not break

This fragile gift I offered him to take



But sadly misguided

My heart is once more

And so I've decided

To settle the score
