Teacher after teacher, not a single one could inspire.
Mr. Wells, Mrs. Barnes, Mr. Gordon, and finally you!
All your leadership actions I never thought to inquire.
Better than Mr. Wells is hard to say but it’s closely true.
There were a few thoughts you’ve shared with us that put me in aghast.
Two of them struck me with the most realization although,
And when I heard those two I felt an emotion of, “At last!”
The second violins were no longer second best at show.
My favorite out of the two was the one of the violins.
“Second violins are not second best but another part.”
I am sure that after that the seconds had a lot more grins
This is what really made me feel like I was finally apart.
You told us ‘stories’ that always put me in a reverence.
You never condescended or scolded, but always provoked.
You’ve inspired me by many things one your playing intense.
I listened to you play and I was always strangely invoked.
Even though next year I won’t be in this kin like group.
I can not stay gone for long and plan on coming back soon.
I am just like a soldier who can not leave one of her troop.
Because she knows she can not live without her homey platoon.
You have been a great inspiration for my playing and me
Thank you again for being there for us when we needed you.
The following years I can only pray that you teach hopefully.
And I have to say again thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
