Today I walk silently

Hoping for miracles

I am blinded by my mind

And my unfulfilled desires

My so-called problems

I am walking, praying for miracles

While my earthly silliness continues

I am in a dark cloud, hoping for a little sunlight 

So I can see the miracle my life is

I keep walking; suddenly something shifts

It's my consciousness 

The dark cloud parts just so

Allowing a little ray of hope

My heart is in prayer once again

This time it's a different prayer

It's not the kind where I ask 

For all things to be correct in my life

This time I see that all is perfect

Just the way it is

I see that it's my mind that needs correcting

So I start a new prayer

Not a prayer really - more like a conversation 

I don't have a destination for my words

Just reciting really 

It starts with help me see

Help me see the magic my life is

Help me see beauty where I see ugliness 

Help me feel you

Let me see you, let me know you

Let me know that you are always here for me

I am lifted by the light 

Out of this earthly realm

Into the arms of hope

I try to return to the present

But I find inner resistance

My conversation continues

Please GOD I say

Change my heart to see your love 

Change my mind to be your love

Change my view to see beauty 

To hear the birds, to see the colors

To smell you in flowers

To feel you in a handful of soil

In a patch of grass

In a little sunlight

Let me know you are the dark cloud I feel

You are the thunder, you are the flood

You are also the sun, the moon, the sky

You are all that I know and all that I don't know

Let me remain in you

I surrender with a smile

With a last bit of prayer

Let me be you
