You left without warning
Nobody knew you were going
Our search was brought to a halt
As no one seemed to know who's at fault.
I really didn't know you that well
We didn't even say a word to each other
Across the room and the hallway, no one dared
Tell that we're just strangers to one another.
All friends gathered for the final prayer.
Really, but your body was not even there
They kept you frozen as we saw you in the coffer
The house turned chaotic when all said farewell.
I noticed the glass door left ajar by who knows
It was midnight and the guests were still there
I went by that door to close it; and, oh what a goose
Bumps came crawling on my skin as you were here.
