growing up in love and hate
If this is what you wanted
Our daughters’ life full of hate
Well here it is right in front of you
isn’t this so great?
I didn’t want her growing up in this
A heavy dark cloud on her life
She is growing up so fast right now
And she wont learn her wrongs from rights
You promised me it wouldn’t get like this
So in ways you promised her too
And because things are going the way they are
Its me who will comfort her not you.
You never wanted this job to begin with
Its more for you to do.
So now its time for you to make
A decision, one that’s true
You know what would be best for her
Its as clear and plain as day
So please don’t make this hard on her
Just make things for her ok
There are so many reasons
As to why you shouldn’t be around
Like the fact you drink like crazy
And your mom and sisters permanent frowns
There is always trouble
Wherever you people are
You push things off on everyone
And now you’ve pushed to far
Don’t put this off on all of us
When we are looking out for her
You don’t know what a good parent is
Its not your fault how yours were.
But try and find it in your heart
To put her best interests first
You know you’re lying, you know its wrong
You know how better off she’d be if you’re gone
You know your family and know mine well
You know that we are capable
To care for this baby and do what’s right
You wont stay up day & night
If she’s sick you push her off
You don’t want the stress
You don’t want to be the responsible parent
But im done writing
For today
And maybe eventually
It’ll go my way
