Its like one of those sad songs,

You know the ones where the flame burns out,

and the ashes fall the ground



Lovers once so content and comfortable

Never wanted to part,

Now are lost, never to be found



I wanted the song to play forever,

Because as long as it was playing,

The end was as far away as possible,



They say time heals all wounds,

but no bandage can fix this hurt

There is no quick remedy for a broken heart



It just beats and bleeds to the rhythm of yesterday

We dreamed of dancing to our favorite song, under the moonlight,

but we never will get our chance to have our perfect night

The world keeps on turning, no one worries about this hurt that won’t fade

I will spend every night alone

Contemplating all the mistakes that I made

I once had the ring, and the keys to your heart,

But now we seem to be fading deeper into the dark

Breaking the promises we never made, of ‘Til death do you part’
