I heard you called

Its been a while

I had let go

but can't forget your simple smile

Questions gone unanswered

Words went unheard

At a point in time,

You and I apart seemed so absurd

Yet here we are,

You are gone

Where did you go,

when we moved on?

Everything about you is too hard to forget

You still are the best person I ever met

The memories still replay in my mind

I continue to go back, press rewind

Watching our flame burn out and die

At least we know we gave it a good try

I can't pick up the phone

I just let it ring

I am afraid of the voice on the other end

It hurt so much that it stings

It is easy to look away when it doesnt happen to you

but it is so much harder when you are the one it is happening to

So you hide under the covers and pray it goes away

but it continues to haunt you each and everday
