I let you go in hope

That you would find a way to change

because the way we were living was a way I could not cope

and I needed it all to rearrange



I said goodbye in hope

That you would come back to me again

You ran back and forth between goodbye and I cannot live without you

I just thought you would run back to me like you always do



I ran from you in hope

That you would run after me

but I looked back to see you standing there

Letting go of my heart so easily



I pressed the knife down harder in hope

That you would care if I was bleeding for you

but it became an obsession

Never to subdue



I did everything in some sort of hope

That for a second you would care

I sacrificed so much

and still I can't find you anywhere
