Can't we begin again

Forget the past

Erase the past and what may have been"



That is what you said to me

Begging me to forgive you for the breaking

you caused so constantly

Said you were a new man

With a stable life, goals and plans



But I have heard those lines before

and you ran when we found something more

Leaving me lost and unsure

of what I did to make you leave

So when you say that you are different why should I believe

Just so you can used more for your own pleasure

Then leave me in such a fragile state



No, I can't go back to where I have been

and put my heart in danger once again

Watch you fall for me and then fall apart in fear

Can't you just leave me be instead of coming around here

My heart is still attached, so I would easily give in to you

and become worse, as I always do



"Time for me to let this go,

Even though I love you so,

I can't take the pain anymore

It's not worth fighting for "
