I have built up walls to keep people an arms length away

Always made excuses so no one would ever stay

and that has happened way too many times

Even when I did not mean to, somewhere I crossed the line



Destined for an eternal lonliness

Sentenced to a lifetime of the dark soul of the abyss

YOu can say that you are different, I have heard it all before

I know that I will never find what I am looking for



My fear of being close, only ruins everything

Still I am waiting for the rain

For the day it all gets better

I wonder if I will ever see the image any clearer



I canot afford to love

There is no reason in believing in the one above

Everything will eventually end

So why even try to pretend
