And you were hoping they would not happen today
What are you to do but go with the flow?
You can’t change things when you are not the one in control
Things can move at such a fast pace
Even when life is not a silly race
Is it just a joke that everyone is in on
Or a world where we all don’t belong
Where do we go when we leave our home?
Streets and towns are the places we begin to roam
Looking for someplace or someone that will let us stay
Even if it is just for one single day
Turn it around, fix yourself
Take your heart up off the shelf
No one can love you when your hearts in chains
It is time you let in some of the rain
