What happened to our forever?

A promised vowed from the beginning

To start fresh and new,

Forgetting all the pain of the past,

Letting it all slip through the cracks,

And down the gutters,

With the rest of the sewage



What happened to our always

We knew that we could make it through anything

If we could make it through the distance,

And we did just that,

So why were goodbyes,

So longs and farewells given

As easily as a hello, nice to see you



What happened to our love,

Something so grand,

That I thought I would always treasure

Buried underneath the turmoil of old memories

Trapped inside reality,

Where we hear all the,

“You’ll never make it”,

And “you’re too young” lines

Why do we let people and their words impact us so greatly



What happened to our future?

Is it gone now?

Cancelled out ,

Null, a void?

I still feel your arms around me,

The way they were when you would never let go

But one day, I woke up and you did

Is that when this all began?

One of us let go too long

And we got lost in the worlds doubts?
