And I thought I knew what love was
But I guess I was wrong once again
You were everything to me
I loved you unconditionally
Heart and soul
Spirit and mind
I was in love
You were hard to find
A treasure
The brightest star in my sky
You were the only one for me - and that is no lie
and now I cry on all the lonely nights
Knowning we will never get another chance
and I know I will never be okay
It will never be alright because
We had to say goodbye to our romance
The fire died and the ashes flew
My heart got broken and torn in two
Still I wish you were here
Lying in my arms, at least someplace near
I miss you so much since you have gone
and I still cannot get myself to move on
I have had many brightest stars in my time...on and off line...and, honestly, none of them stayed...I mean, there are a few that did, and they know who they are...but for the most part...they're gone. I mean, I care, a little bit, but not so much anymore....'cause they're not coming back anymore
