You chose to let me go

Although you were still in love

You did not want to hold me back

Wanted me to have all I have dreamt of



How can I just let go of everything we felt,

Everything we shared

Those days still fresh on my memory

You were the only reason I still cared

Did you get what you need?



You walked away so why cannot I?

You let me go, I was so blind

I knew that this would happen but why could I not see

Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me



Now you are probably out there without someone else

Holding her close,

Sharing all we did with her

Thanking god that she is the one you finally chose



I am still her lonely

Wondering wh oyou are with

Wondering why we said goodbye

But I cannot seem to remember

No matter how hard I try
