Walking the streets, looking for a home
It has been seven months and still he roams
Looking for a welcome, hoping someone lets him in,
They see him as a danger
They don't know where he has been,
He is just a stranger
His days roll on forever
Each day a bit hotter than the last
Nights get more freezing, shivering cold
He wishes those nights could go by fast
Or that some stranger would let him stay
And be there for him to hold
He hasnt talked to someone he has cared about in almost a year
Since he lost his home and was forced to go all alone
Afraid he cant take many more nights like this
The cold breeze chap his lips,
and they turn blue
Yet he continues walking because that is all he knows how to do
In the heat he is parched and cant seem to quench his thirst
Feet in so much pain he fears he will collapse
But as always he keeps on walking
He keeps roaming the streets alone
Trying to find someone to help him
Someone to find him a home
