Love was always just a foolish game

Thought it just wasnt for me

I kept on praying that I would find it

But somehow, I just couldnt see...



I stood on the sidelines for a long time

I just couldnt handle where I was heading

I was walking down a dead end road

That had in mind no fairy tale ending...



I was broken and crying

Thought that I was close to dying

I was tired of my mistakes and wanted to quit trying

But you stopped me and pointed out that to myself I was lying



I wanted to make you so very proud

Wanted to stand on a rooftop and scream 'I love you' outloud

Wanted to break through the chains and make you the one

But too afraid of the damage that could possibly be done..
