We sing the lies of our past
The days when love would make our hearts beat fast
But now the faster we move, the more we fear the crash
Waiting for the light of the camera to flash
This may not make much sense, but it is not meant to
Just a bunch of confusing rants to clear my cloudy mind
Thought that I was finally happy
However I am confused about its kind
Lying to myself and wearing a smile
I am dying inside all the while
Can't for one second seem to understand
Where I plead and Where I stand
Who are we today, Just lovers undercover?
Tip toe through the dark, scared of what we may discover
Lies, tears, deceit, betrayel and hate
Are we just angels of a mistaken fate?
Words at this point are deadly weapons
They could kill all we have created
Take away all our hopes and dreams
Rip our hearts right down the seems
Say thanks to God, Hallelujah, we sing praise
But is it mistaken only for wanting something in return
We don't know how to pray, but we plead to break these chains
Someday we might eventually learn...
We are merely fallen angels,
We have clipped our wings
Finding we only want to fly
So we tie them back on with strings
However they are not strong enough to hold
So as we take off into flight they break
The story does not end so good
Will anyone ever figure out that we are just fake
Not angels, neither good or fallen
We are just adolescents trying to find a reason to survive
Watching everyone else walk through the world happily
Wishing that we were no longer alive
