I spent all my life waiting

For something, maybe a sign

Just to know it would all be okay

But only found pain and heartache along the way

Feeling lifeless,

Yet knowing I was alive

Tired of fighting,

I wanted to take the dive

Buried under the wreckage,

The ashes covered me completely

Stuck in confusion

Wondering if it was all an illusion

Did I make up all the pain

Wishing forever for endless rain

Then appeared an angel,

One dreary midnight,

He came to show me the truth

Come to find,

We would fall in love

Who knew that  it would happen that way

But the angel is the one that...

I'll love forever, today and always
