Why did you have to go

You promised to stand by my side forever

but as I look to where you said you would be,

I see nothing

Not even a ghost

You said your goodbye at the time

When I needed you the most

Did you not see my tears?

Could you not hear my screaming?

I reached my hand out for you

Begged you to walk back in my life

But with a heart full of pain

You let go

Said it was too much to handle

That you were never coming back to me

This was our goodbye forever

Now do you see my tears?

Now do you hear my screaming?
