Can I just forget all we shared

Let go of all the memories of when you cared



Forget  your warm smile that would light up my heart

Walk away from the nights before we fell apart



I cannot forget how I felt when you said I was the one

and I cannot forget how you love and then, when it gets too serious, run



I try to wash the memories away with tears

But they like to stay close to here



I still cannot help but worry - where you are and how you are

I still love you always, no matter how near or far



and I have to wonder, if you really were gone

Could I ever get up and move on
