To hold you in my arms

I may never know what it is like

To be with the one I love

I may never know what it is like

To stand beside you

Through those dark and lonely days

I pray and wait for a chance

I hope that we will make it together someday

I may never know what it is like

To have a love that is there

When all the love I have found so far

Has been at an unbearing distance

Making everyday waiting a pain for the heart

I may never know what it is like

To be truly happy

To be able to see the one I love

and give him a real kiss

I may never know what it is like

To love someone close up

I just wonder,

Will it always be like this?
