I remember the past

As I waste away

All my dreams are gone

Gone into the realm of yesterday

My life was so much better then

When I was innocent and young

Lonliness settled in and love always walked away

Do my feelings mean nothing

Does my broken heart mean anything to you

You can't break what is already broken

You can't heal the pain

With the words that have gone unspoken

It is not you, it is me

Broken and bleeding

I can't simply love

I don't have the capacity

I won't be able to handle it when it falls apart

and it will, it always does

There is no such thing as forever

Nothing lasts that long

I just wish it were different

I just wish that I was wrong
