How can your heart be so hard?



You heard

The same truth I have,

The same hard-hitting,

Convicting truth.



How can you deny Him?



How can you see yourself

In all the blackness

Of your sinful soul

And not want to change?

  

Do you deny the reflection?  



Now that I have

Finally accepted myself

With open arms,

You turned a bitter shoulder.



How can you abandon me?



You left me by the wayside

When before you were

My only guiding light,

Leading me through darkness.



What have you become?



I let the enemy’s attacks  

Consume me

Because they’re coming

From my previous life force.



Why does it so affect me?



I don’t know if

I should ignore you

Or fight back against

Satan’s warfare.



God, speak to me.
