A Perfect Father

You are not a perfect father.

You are not always available whether physically or emotionally. You work too much and pay too little attention. You never hug or kiss me. You’re distant in more ways than one.

You don’t always say the right things. You criticize me when I do something wrong a hundred times more often than you praise me when I do something right. Your discipline is not always administered at the best times or with the best attitude.

But you love me unconditionally and that is enough.

Author's Notes/Comments:

So here is our most important piece of advice: remember who your dad really is.
